Exciting Times!

Ever since I was a child, I have had one dream. To be a published author. Now in less than 24 hours that dream will be a reality. Don’t get me wrong, I have been a writer for some time and have had a number of poems published but this is different. This is my child. My gift to the world and for better or worse, I am sharing it with you all.

A lot of people will never understand why but in 2017 when I was being wheeled into emergency surgery and my mortality was staring me in my face, I realized I had no legacy. That I had lived my life taking care of other people, living the life they wanted and I vowed to change that. I had been developing the story since late 2016 but after a few false starts the opportunity arose for me to just do it. And well. here it is.

Hunted by the Cult’s Leader, Brother Timothy, Erika must place her trust in the mysterious stranger, Felix, as together they work to stop the unspeakable evil unleashed upon the world of man.

Join Erika and her friends, accompanied by her two dogs, Hansel and Gretel, as they embark in the ultimate fight for survival while reality as they know it crumbles around them.

Talk With Your Beloved Dead for Día de los Muertos!

October 31 ushers in my favorite time of year when the Veil Between the Worlds grows thin, and we can more easily experience the presence of our ancestors and other beloved dead. It’s also the time when they can more easily make their way from the Otherworld into our world.

Which leads me to ask – Have you had dreams or visits from your beloved dead? Do you or your family celebrate your ancestors? Do you think the dead are still members of the community, kept alive in memory and spirit—and temporarily returning to Earth this time of year.

Observing Día de los Muertos (the Day of the Dead) originated in the pre-Hispanic cultures because they considered death a natural phase in life’s long continuum. I love this and as an adult have begun to incorporate it into the way I view the dead.

If you have time, check out this incredible video I found about Day Of The Dead Michoacán México. https://bit.ly/3jOnq8y

Ps – My mom always whenever she saw a yellow butterfly it was my Grandfather. Maybe there is something to that.

Checking off the to-do list!

My first urban fantasy novel is currently with a group of Beta Readers, and I hope to have it ready for publication by mid-November, early December of 2020. I am so excited. I do not want to say too much, but I am eager to share it with you! Stay tuned between Wyrd Realities and this book series (yes – this is the first of nine), many significant changes are manifesting around us.
